BANDUNG, (BIJB), – Ahead of the operation of West Java International Airport (BIJB), in Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, West Java, garbarata facility which is a bridge connecting passenger terminal with aircraft already presented. In the aviation world, the garbarata is commonly called passenger boarding bridge (PBB).
The four units of Garbarata present at Kertajati Airport are local products, namely PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk which is produced directly at its factory in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java. Bridges resembling those trains are already installed in the avron area of the airport.
“We PT BIJB bring the best Garbarata commonly used in other Asian countries, we use the best commonly used in developed countries,” said Director of PT BIJB Virda Dimas Ekaputra in Bandung, Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Since 1989, PT Bukaka Teknik Utama continues to produce garbarata by using components and workers from within the country. The connecting bridge proved able to meet the international aviation consultant industry standards as well as the world airport authorities.
Garbarata owned by Bukaka was first exported to Japan in 1991. Until today in Sakura country, the total garbarata Bukaka has been filled 98 units or 18 percent of the total passenger bridge to the plane in Japan. The largest buyers come from India.
Besides these two countries, Bukaka has exported garbarata to Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Hong Kong, and furthest to the Pacific Ocean, to Chile, South America.
With the presence of the garbarata is increasingly evident that Kertajati Airport is ready to operate in mid-June 2018. Note as of December 31, 2017, the construction of the international airport side of the airport has reached 85 percent. / HUMAS BIJB *
