Public lecture took place quite interactive and attracted the attention of students considering that BIJB which is currently in the process of development phase often faces social problems. One of the sticking out is the eviction of land acquisition at the site in 2016 ago.
Ana Nur Faiza (19) one of which is quite vocal in the general lecture. Understand it, Student Faculty of Economics of Accounting Department come from Majalengka. Some of his relatives have been displaced from this national megaproject.
Virda also replied that the entire process of land acquisition has been fulfilled by West Java provincial government. Over 1,800 hectares of land, replacement has also been made proportionally. “This has been done by the West Java provincial government who poured the land acquisition budget reached Rp 800 billion,” said Virda. Compensation is also done where it will absorb around 400 thousand workers. Here BIJB will also pay attention to some local people.
Some students also questioned the positive impacts of BIJB presence in Majalengka, Jawa Barata. Virda said, the presence of airports that swallow the budget of Rp 2.6 trillion will be a new gateway of Indonesia, especially West Java.
The presence of BIJB will also occur economic penetration in Majalengka and Cirebon Raya area. Currently West Java with a population of 47 million must be equal distribution of development. So three zone lines; Bandung Raya, Bodebek Karpur (Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, Karawang, Purwakarta) Raya, and Cirebon Raya will be balanced. Especially with the presence of Cisumdawu Toll that will operate 2019.
“Majalengka we know UMK and IPM is quite small in West Java, but it will be a big industry because in Kertajati there will be busines center, creative technology center, which is six clusters, it will integrate everything,” said Virda who is also a dropout Unpad.
In terms of BIJB business is quite prospective. This is because Soekarno-Hatta Airport has reached the maximum number of passengers. From the record of the Ministry of Transportation in Tangerang Airport is the eighth busiest airport in the world. The airport will also reach the maximum point of passengers by 2025. “Because there is now 2 minutes to take off and landing going on there,” he said.
