BANDUNG, – West Java International Airport management agreement (BIJB) reached the meeting point. PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II obtained the right of airport management in Kecamatan Kertajati, Majalengka Regency, West Java.
Later, the airport which will operate in mid 2018 at the same time can serve this haj flight, will be managed AP II, as the operator, with the duration of 17 years or until 2035.
Cooperation of operations (KSO) between PT BIJB which is a company owned by West Java Provincial Government or BUMD and AP II was confirmed through the signing of KSO, Pakuan State Building, Jalan Otto Iskandardinata (Ottista) Bandung, Monday, January 22, 2018. The long road of long-term operation cooperation between PT BIJB and AP II was agreed last weekend. According to Virda, besides the airport management cooperation with the investment value of Rp 2.6 trillion, other points during Kertajati Airport managed by AP II are also agreed some things. Among them, there will be transfer of knowledge or knowledge transfer from AP II to BIJB regarding airport management. The existence of the process is intended if the end of cooperation with AP II ends, PT BIJB can be independent to become airport operators.

Muhammad Awaludin added that the presence of AP II acting as an operator and investor is preparing a quick step on the readiness and airport transportation (ORAT) operation. Preparation is related to the provision of facilities, human resources, infrastructure and system of airspace.
