While AP II with limited investment mutual funds (RDPT) ranges in 38 percent. That number is currently under discussion and not final.

“It was finally agreed by this KSO with a period of 17 years,” said Director of PT BIJB Virda Dimas Ekaputra.

The long road of long-term operation cooperation between PT BIJB and AP II was agreed last weekend. The Government in coordination meeting (Coordination Meeting) with the Coordinating Minister (Menko) of the Ministry of Marine Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan takes the middle ground of two proposals submitted by each party. From the meeting, the airport business license (BUBU) for Kertajati airport is 17 years old.

“Cooperation of Operation of Kertajati Airport with AP II is related to the use of BUBU, PT AP II for operation and maintenance of Kertajati Airport,” said Virda.

According to Virda, besides the airport management cooperation with the investment value of Rp 2.6 trillion, other points during Kertajati Airport managed by AP II are also agreed some things. Among them, there will be transfer of knowledge or knowledge transfer from AP II to BIJB regarding airport management. The existence of the process is intended if the end of cooperation with AP II ends, PT BIJB can be independent to become airport operators.

With the inclusion of AP II of course this is increasingly asserted that Kertajati Airport can operate in 2018. AP II since agreeing it directly direct equity (direct equity) with plans to extend runway or runway to 3,000 meters. Until now the runway built by the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has only been realized 2,500 from the ultimate 3,500 meters. Components such as airfield lighting system and other signs are already installed. It takes a length of at least 3,000 meters is intended to be able to support the movement of large-bodied aircraft as well as Boeing 777.

Virda hopes that this cooperation can still fulfill, as the initial commitment of PT BIJB was established in 2014 and the human resources (human resources) included in the readiness of airport operation. “In that point the personnel of Kertajati Airport will be prioritized from the environment around the airport in accordance with the qualifications required in the operation of Kertajati Airport,” he said.

Muhammad Awaludin added that the presence of AP II acting as an operator and investor is preparing a quick step on the readiness and airport transportation (ORAT) operation. Preparation is related to the provision of facilities, human resources, infrastructure and system of airspace.

“If the May soft launch target certainly before May we must complete everything,” said Awaludin.

“For the runway we have also prepared Rp 350 billion for extension (500 meters,” he added.

Bambang continued, to stare at the operation of Kertajati Airport in June 2018, of course, various readiness must be done immediately. One of them is the presence of operators who handle airport activities every day. So the KSO between PT BIJB and AP II is very important to meet the requirements of the operation of an airport.

“The operation of this airport is important because this airport can be an alternative airport in Soekarno-Hatta,” said Bambang.

Bambang hopes, with this KSO cooperation can be mutually beneficial. One side of BIJB as a BUMD can take a lesson related to the operation of the airport when the KSO is over.

“KSO 17 years can be a good learning but it can be invested after 17 years of operation can be by BIJB because actually BUBU is not only AP I and II but open,” explained Bambang.

Meanwhile, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan appreciated the cooperation between BIJB and AP II. This cooperation according to him
