BANDUNG (SINDONEWS), – Encouragement for the West Java Provincial Government to accelerate the construction of access to the West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati, Majalengka is not without reason.
Many positive effects will be obtained in West Java, after the BIJB operates in full, especially economic growth and tourism.
Chairman of the Indonesian Economic Scholars Association (ISEI) of West Java who is also an Unpad economist Aldrin Herwani said, the West Java tourism sector will grow and develop after the BIJB operates in full. Many tourist areas will be more easily traveled than before.
For example, said Aldrin, Cirebon City / Regency with its cultural tourism, Pangandaran with its beaches, and other areas that have good tourism potential.
“Make good access first so that BIJB operates fully. After that, it will definitely have an impact on the economy and tourism around it, “Aldrin said, Sunday (10/21/2018).
According to Aldrin, if access to BIJB has been completed, the next government task is to create a new route that connects to tourist attractions such as Pangandaran, Bandung Raya, and others.
It could be, he said, an area that was initially not exposed, it turned out to be of economic value from the tourism sector. “It is possible to beautify and improve the welfare of the community, but don’t forget the economic side. It would be better if the regional improvement program also had an economic impact on the surrounding community, “he said.
Aldrin suggested, if the government gets funding assistance, it is better to use it to build infrastructure to BIJB. After that, the rest can be allocated to other sectors.
Indeed, said Aldrin, it is not easy to move the airline from Husein Sastranegara Bandung International Airport or Soekarno-Hatta Airport to BIJB Kertajati.
But the manager can make various advantages so that the BIJB has an appeal compared to other airports.
