Ekbis.sindonews.com-JAKARTA - The Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said that the development of the Rebanese triangle area was being intensified, especially in the Patimban-Kertajati-Cirebon area. In a webinar held by Mark Plus inc, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya said the tambourine triangle was being intensified, especially in the Patimban Port project which will be inaugurated as of December 2020.

"Meanwhile, in Kertajati we already have Kertajati Airport as a logistics airport. So Patimban is a tambourine triangle area which we continue to intensify the completion of its construction, "Budi said in Jakarta, Monday (26/10/2020).

Previously, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil stated that the tambourine triangle was projected to become a golden, advanced and futuristic area. This area is supported by industrial centers such as Kertajati Airport, Patimban Port, and Cirobon which is a tourist city.

Patimban Port in Subang Regency is currently waiting for the operation of the operator that has been appointed in the auction process through the cooperation between the government and business entities (PPP). The winner of the auction as the operator is the Patimban Consortium company consisting of PT CTCorp Infrastruktur, PT Indika Logistic & Support Services, PT U Connectivity Services and PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya. This port is expected to support the Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Kertajati Airport is the second largest airport after Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Inaugurated in 2018 with a runway length of 3,400 meters this airport is expected to be able to support Soekarno-Hatta Airport. "If Patimban is already operating I think it will eventually support each other, be it in Patimban as a port, Kertajati with its airport and the support of the cultural city of Cirobon, which will become a new area in West Java," said the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya.
