Bandung, Gatra.com - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil is targeting as many as 3 metropolitan industrial cities in the Rebana golden triangle (Cirebon-Patimban-Kertajati) to be introduced to the public, early November 2020.
It is known, in addition to Kertajati Airport and Patimban port, the government will build 13 metropolitan industrial cities in the Rebana golden triangle area.
Industrial estate development is targeted to be a parking lot for new investments in West Java.
"Next month there will be 3 metropolitan industrial cities that will be launched. Namely, Subang smart metrpolitan, Majalengka, and Patimban City," said Ridwan Kamil at the Government Roundtable Series 2: Economic Recovery in West Java, Thursday (22/10).
The West Java Provincial Government will also rebrand the Rebana golden triangle into the Rebana Metropolitar Area with 13 metropolitan cities, Patimban Port and Kertajati Airport.
"Rebana will be changed no longer with a triangle, but will be embedded with the Metropolitar Rebana. So there will be a collection of 13 new industrial-based cities in 7 regions, namely Subang, Majalengka, Sumedang, Kuningan, Indaramayu and others," he explained.
Ridwan Kamil said, if the construction of this metropolitan industrial area is completed, in 10 years it will generate 5 million new jobs and contribute 4-5 percent of West Java's economic growth.
The plan is that in addition to 3 Metropolitan cities, in early November 2020 there will also be the inauguration of the most advanced and largest port in Indonesia, Patimban, the first stage by the President of Indonesia, Jokowi.
"Insya Allah, it will be inaugurated next month by President Jokowi in Patimban. This will be an extraordinary West Java infrastructure," said Ridwan Kamil.
