TRIBUNJABAR.ID, MAJALENGKA - Bandarudara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB) Kertajati Majalengka officially does not serve all flight routes with four airlines in the middle of the corona virus pandemic.
 

Nevertheless, the airport is recommended to continue operating because of its existence as a vital object in the sector supplying relief supplies to the affected areas.
 

This was conveyed by the President Director of PT BIJB Kertajati, Salahudin Rafi , in his office on Wednesday (04/08/2020).
 

According to him, the airport must not be closed because of its position as a vital national security object .
 

In addition, the airport has always been an alternative location on every flight crossed by aircraft.
 

So if they are not strong above, they will land at the nearest airport, "he said.
 

Rafi said, the airport is also a gateway for areas to be visited in all forms of destination.
 

One of them, sending relief supplies if the area concerned is experiencing a disaster.
 

"Even though there are no flights, we still have to operate. Secondly, the airport's object as a gateway for Papua, if there is a natural disaster, a disaster like this. Because the airport is the fastest in sending aid or lifting victims to be immediately given help, "he said.
 

Therefore, Rafi added, there are employees and officers who are still working as usual in the airport environment.
 

Although, indeed, he has set a policy of working for almost all of his employees with work from home (WFH).
