REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - The Regional Government (Pemda) of West Java Province (Jabar) has made an inventory of the projects offered in Indonesia Investment Day (IID) 2020 virtually on Tuesday (29/9). IID 2020 itself is organized by Bank Indonesia.

According to the Head of the West Java Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP) Office, Noneng Komara Nengsih, there are seven projects that have been prepared. The seven projects are Aerocity Kertajati, Subang Industrial Park, Ciater Raya Tourism, Walini Raya Area, Kertajati Industrial Estate Majalengka, Greater Cirebon Solid Waste Treatment Plant, and Jatigede Regional Water Supply System.

In Aerocity Kertajati, there are four projects that are ready to be offered, namely Logistic Hub, Financial Center, Creative Technology, and Vertical Housing. Meanwhile, there are five project holders, namely PT BIJB, PT PN VIII, PT Dwipapuri, PT MUJ, and the West Java Housing and Settlement Service (Disperkim).

Noneng Komara said that all project holders will have a one on one meeting with investors virtually. West Java DPMPTSP, will accompany the project holder when holding the meeting.

"Project selection is seen from readiness. Because investors really expect the project (offered) to be mature, there is already a design. They don't want a project with only potential," said Noneng Komara.

According to Noneng Komara, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil will be the keynote speaker for IID 2020. He also hopes that in IID 2020, communication between project holders and investors will be well established. In addition, investors are interested in investing in West Java.

"Of course there are deals with investors. At least (investors) understanding of West Java is improving. Because we are determined to make West Java the best investment destination," he said.

A good investment climate, qualified Human Resources (HR) capacity, and acceptable infrastructure make West Java an attractive destination for investors.
